Ralf Zimmermann von Siefart (* 1958 in Hanover ) is a German journalist .

Life

Ralf Zimmermann von Siefart went to school in Amsterdam , Hanover, Schondorf am Ammersee and Kassel and was called up for military service in a Bundeswehr press office in Kiel . He then completed a traineeship at Kieler Nachrichten . Afterwards he studied modern history and political science in Kiel, Bonn and Cologne , whereby he obtained the master's degree .

During his studies and afterwards he worked as a freelance journalist for ZDF , NDR and WDR . In 1991 he started working as a reporter in the newly founded ZDF regional studio in Schwerin . In addition, he was deputy studio manager of NDR television there since 1995 and reported for Tagesschau and Tagesthemen .

In 1997 Ralf Zimmermann von Siefart switched to ZDF's main editorial office for “ Interior Policy ” in Mainz , where he became deputy head of the editorial department blickpunkt and moderator of the Länderspiegel program . In these functions he also worked as a reporter at elections, party conferences and special events. Ralf Zimmermann von Siefart is the father of three children. In addition, through his sister Auguste he is a brother-in-law of Oskar Prince of Prussia (Herrenmeister, 1959)
