Ralph Szepanski (born October 5, 1967 in Kirchen (Sieg) ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

After studying German , linguistics and psychology , Szepanski began a traineeship at the German television news agency in what was then the capital city of Bonn in 1992 . He also took on reporting for ProSieben , RTL , Sat.1 and Tele 5 .

From 1993 to 1994 Ralph Szepanski was n-tv correspondent for Northern Germany and Scandinavia. In the meantime he was involved in building up the regional television station Hamburg1 . From 1995 to 1999 Szepanski was editor-in-chief and moderator of Hamburg1-Nachrichten.

In 1999 he came to the ZDF studio in Hamburg. In 2001 he started working as the deputy editor-in-chief of the weekday ZDF magazine hallo deutschland . As a presenter he presented the Drehscheibe Deutschland from 2002 to 2003 , since 2002 today - in Germany and also some ZDF special programs.

Szepanski was given new tasks in 2014. Since May 2014, he has been presenting the news programs tonight and ( alternatively ) today + alternating with other moderators.
