Randomorder was an Australian thrash metal band from Hobart that was formed in 2007 and split in 2016.

history

The band was founded in late 2007 by singer and guitarist Gabe Latham. The following year, drummer and singer Matthew Bicket, bassist Justin Wilton and guitarist Rod McAllister joined. At the beginning of the year the band started performing live. At the end of the year a first demo was created . In early 2009, McAllister was replaced by Sean Kelleher, whereupon another demo was recorded and released in December 2009. At the end of the year the band also made their first appearances in mainland Australia. In 2010 concerts in Melbourne , Sydney and Wollongong with bands such as Dark Order , Rampant, Toecutter and Destent followed. In early 2011 they went on tour through Australia with In Malice's Wake and Desecrator . In March 2011, work began to debut with Joe Haley of Psycroptic as producers before it in September under the name of The Forbidden Knowledge appeared in self-disclosure. In the following year, the split publication was published with Sewercide in self- publication. In 2012 the debut album was also re-released via EBM Records . In February 2016 the second album Doomsday was released as a self- release . The following month, the group announced its breakup.

style

Matt Coe from eternal-terror.com assigned the band in his review of The Forbidden Knowledge to Thrash Metal, which is fast, wild, but also occasionally harmonious. Latham's vocals are reminiscent of a clean version by Ron Eriksen ( Viking ) or occasionally Max Cavalera minus the Brazilian accent. The guitar riffs and the playing of the drums have an old-school Thrash-Metal character, with similarities to Violence , Viking and Demolition Hammer . Occasionally the songs also have tonal parallels to Forbidden . GlobalThrashAssault from globalthrashassault.com also called the music on the album Thrash Metal, which combines both original and classic elements in the style of Sepultura , Slayer , Kreator and Sodom . The music is characterized by impressive solos , aggressive riffs, irrepressible vocals and drumming that ranges from passages in the medium speed range to fast blast beats.
