Raphael Andergassen (born June 14, 1993 in Bozen ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Pustertal since January 2015 and has played with the club in the Alps Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Raphael Andergassen began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of SV Kaltern , with whose U20 team he won the Italian championship title in this age group in 2010. The following season he made his debut in the men's team of the club in the second-rate Serie A2 . There he also played in the years to come, until the Kalterern succeeded in promotion to Serie A in 2014 . However, he made his personal debut in the top Italian division in the 2012/13 season when he was loaned out to Ritten Sport for a game . Shortly before the end of the 2014/15 season - the relegation of SV Kaltern was already certain - he moved to HC Pustertal in Bruneck , where he has played since then. In 2016 he won the Supercoppa with the club .

For Italy, Andergassen took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in Division II 2010 and Division I in 2011 and the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2013 .

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the 2015 , 2016 and 2018 World Championships in Division I. After promotion in 2016, he played in the top division at the 2017 World Championships , where the Italians could not hold up. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
