Rappelkopf was a German-language satirical magazine from Austria . It has appeared four times since 2009. The main focus was on political and social satire in the form of texts, cartoons and comics .
Emergence
The magazine emerged from the online project of the same name. After the first pilot issue, which was published on the occasion of the European Football Championship in June 2008, the regular issue has been published since October 2009 with 68 pages.
Compared to other German-language satirical magazines, the satirical style is based on US satirical magazines such as The Onion, with mainly fictional news, commentary contributions by fictional characters and daily independent observations. The New Yorker and The Chicagoan as well as French satire and comic magazines are used as models . Plenty of space is given to drawn elements, including a. also comics.
