Jörg-Martin Willnauer
Jörg-Martin Willnauer (born April 12, 1957 in Heidelberg ) is a German cabaret artist , author , composer and lecturer . He is also known by the two pseudonyms Martina Will and Jörg Nauer .
Life
Jörg-Martin Willnauer was born the son of a Protestant pastor and grew up in Heidelberg. After studying music in Heidelberg, Willnauer went to Austria in 1981 , where he began to study composition with Iván Eröd at the Graz University of Art . Numerous workshops with Gisela May , Lauren Newton , Bobby McFerrin and others followed.
From 1984 to 2009 he hosted and designed numerous radio programs in the fields of jazz , cabaret and entertainment for Radio Steiermark . As a cabaret artist and musician , he performed his programs in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Lithuania, Finland, Italy , Slovenia , Hungary and Estonia and made a guest appearance in the GDR . In 2007 he was invited to perform in Sweden at the Goethe Institute in Gothenburg for the first time . Willnauer taught musical roles for actors as a guest lecturer at the University of Art in Graz for seven years .
Furthermore, he was the initiator and co-founder of the Austrian Cabaret Archive and from 1999 to 2004 the first chairman of the Austrian Cabaret Archive Association.
He has lived in Graz since October 26, 1981 . He is the father of a daughter.
Activity as a politician
On December 5, 2009, Willnauer was elected as the top candidate of the Styrian Greens for the state elections on September 26, 2010 with an approval rate of 85 percent . He resigned in April 2010 for personal reasons. In his place, the Greens elected their state chairman Werner Kogler as the new top candidate.
In order for Willnauer to be allowed to run for office by law, he had to take Austrian citizenship. He criticized the content of the citizenship test in February 2010, and historians agreed. He also criticized the cost of becoming a citizen, which is around 12 times higher than that of Germany.
