Rauand Taleb

Rauand Taleb (born February 20, 1992 in Sulaimaniyya ) is a German actor of Iraqi-Kurdish origin.

Life

Rauand Taleb was born in the northeast of the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan . In 1998 the family fled to Germany and applied for asylum there. Taleb successfully attended the New Drama School in Nuremberg from 2010 to 2013, where he gained his first stage experience. Further stations were the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Nuremberg Tafelhalle .

Taleb has also been working extensively in front of the camera since the mid-2010s. Here he was seen in various Tatort episodes and in three seasons of the series 4 blocks . In the biography Just a Woman , he embodied the role of Nuri , who commits a so-called honor killing of his sister.

The artist, who lives in Berlin and Nuremberg, was awarded at the Bavarian Youth Film Festival in 2012 for his performance in the film Every Kanake against every Kanaken . Taleb himself sat on the jury for the German Human Rights Film Award 2014 .
