The Raue Heil is a 435 meter high mountain near Linsengericht in Spessart in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse .

geography

The Raue Heil lies on the boundary of the Linsengericht district of Großenhausen . To the west of the mountain, in the valley of the Lützelbach, are the villages of Breitenborn and Lützel . In the north, the Raue Heil goes flat over to the Kahler Kopf (385 m). The Franzosenkopf (481 m) stretches to the south-west behind the “Horseshoe” saddle , which takes its name from an old forge . There is a Celtic ring wall on the northeastern mountain spur .
