The Rauhenzainbach is a 6 km long creek in northeastern Baden-Württemberg , which flows into the lower Fichtenberger Rot from the right and south near Fichtenberg in the Schwäbisch Hall district .
geography
course
The Rauhenzainbach occurs just west of Gschwender village Horlachen in an incipient forest sounded at the Lias stage and runs quite stable in northeastern and northern directions. Below it briefly emerges from the forest, crosses under the L 1150 from Kirchenkirnberg in the direction of Gschwend and then enters another forest ridge where it passes Neumühle, which is surrounded by a number of lakes and located on a tributary. After that it is soon left for a long border river between Fichtenberg and Gschwend right. In a clearing on the lower reaches of the river, it passes the Fichtenberg hamlet of Rauhenzainbach , where its largest tributary flows in from the right, the 2.7 km long Honklinger Bach . In its secondary blade, the K 2673 descends into the valley, which then follows the stream to its mouth. After a short forest bar across the valley, the corridor opens up to the long estuary into the Rottal between the Staufenberg on the left and the Turmberg on the right. After passing through this and half of the Rotaue, the Rauhenzainbach finally flows a few steps down the Forchtenberger Kronmühle from the right and south at 336.4 m above sea level. NN in the east running lower Fichtenberger Rot.
Catchment area
The Rauhenzainbach has a catchment area of 7.858 km², which stretches for about 5 km between the summit of the Hagberg in the south-southwest and the mouth and measures 2.5 km across it at its widest point. In the south the catchment area begins at Liastrauf near the Hagberg , where beyond the watershed in the southeast the catchment area of two other rivers with the name Rot that run to the Lein in the south are located , namely the Gschwender Rot in the southeast and that of the Voggenberger in the southwest Sawmill opening red . On the entire west side, the Glattenzainbach , which also runs to the Fichtenberger Rot , competes closely , which is why hardly any tributaries come from the left, in the north this Fichtenberger Rot itself, which takes up the stream. On the east side, the watershed separates the catchment area of the downstream Fichtenberger-Rot tributary Eichelbach in northern area and the Kocher tributary Steigersbach in the southern.
Around two thirds of the catchment area is forested, with grassland predominating in the open third. About three quarters of it belong to the municipality of Gschwend , a quarter in the northwest and north to Fichtenberg , two tiny fragments in the east to the Unterroter district of Gaildorf . The Gschwender Hof Neumühle and the Fichtenberg hamlet Rauhenzainbach with its three farms are the only valley locations in it. The plateaus to the left and right of the middle and lower valley are more densely populated, here in the northeast the Gschwender hamlet Honkling (predominantly), in the west in the Gschwend-Altersberg district the scattered settlements Seehöfle, Schierhof, Gläserhof, Krämersberg, Vorderes and Hinteres Breitenfeld and der Hamlet Eichenkirnberg. The Pritschenhof, the Lämmershof, the Pfeiferhof and a few houses in the village of Horlachen are located on the slope to the Lias edge with the Hagberg in the far south .
