Paresh Rawal ( Gujarati : પરેશ રાવલ ), (born May 30, 1950 in Mumbai ) is an Indian actor and politician .

Acting career

Rawal made his film debut in a supporting role in the film Holi in 1984 , and two years later in 1986 he was able to establish himself as an actor in the film Naam . He appeared in more than 240 films. Paresh Rawal's biggest hit was Hera Pheri . He is married to the actress and winner of the 1979 Miss India Contest Swaroop Sampat .

politics

In the parliamentary elections in India in 2014 , Paresh Rawal was elected to the Lok Sabha , the lower house of the Indian parliament, as a candidate for the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Ahmedabad East constituency in Gujarat state .
