Reeßeln

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reeßeln is a district of Walmsburg , a district of the city of Bleckede in the Lower Saxony district of Lüneburg .

It is an independent village with five farms (originally three farms) between Walmsburg and Katemin and is located on an elevation above the Elbe valley between the Staatschen mountains in the north and the Bramsberg in the south.

Originally part of Katemin, Reeßeln later came to Walmsburg. Since the municipal reform , which came into force on March 1, 1974, Reeßeln has therefore been the southernmost part of the city of Bleckede .
