Regus is a global company that offers flexible office solutions through its globally distributed business centers. It is currently represented with almost 3000 office centers in 900 cities in 120 countries. The company was founded in 1989 in Brussels / Belgium, now has its headquarters in Luxembourg and employs 8,375 people. The Regus Group is listed in the FTSE 250 Index on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and had 2013 sales of 1,533.5 million British pounds. Operating profit for the period was £ 205.3 million.

Regus in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

In Germany, Regus operates over 92 business centers in 23 cities and employs around 500 people. The German head office is in Düsseldorf . The companies Excellent Business Center, plug and work, The Squaire Business & Conference Center, Service und Business Center GmbH (SBC), The Office Club (TOC) have been part of the Regus network since 2014. In 2018 Regus operates 24 business centers in Austria in Vienna , Graz , Salzburg and Linz as well as 29 other business centers in Switzerland in Zurich , Basel , Zug , Lucerne , Pfäffikon , Winterthur , Lausanne , Geneva , Lugano and Nyon . The head office in Austria is in Vienna, the Swiss head office in Zurich. Additional centers are planned in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

history

The first business center was opened in 1989 in Brussels . Regus has been offering its services in Latin America since 1994 with a business center in São Paulo , Brazil . In 1999, the first business center in Asia was opened in Beijing , China . Regus went public on the London Stock Exchange in 2000 . Statis was acquired in 2001 in Regus. The company expanded into the US market.

In 2003, twelve Regus business centers in Germany had to file for bankruptcy. The "HQ Global Workplaces" came under the control of Regus in 2004. The US provider of airport offices was acquired by the company in 2006. The "Agora Business Centers" followed a year later. The Shell petrol stations were equipped with WiFi hotspots in 2013. The companies Excellent Business Centers and Plug and Work GmbH are acquired. In 2014, Regus added 50 new locations to its network in the first quarter alone. Regus opened its 2,000th business center in Boulder, Colorado in 2014. In 2014 contracts were signed with Heathrow and Gatwick Airport and the government of Singapore.

Operation and services

Regus and its brands (HQ and Regus Express) provide fully-equipped offices, virtual offices, meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities to companies of all sizes on a contract basis. It is represented in 120 countries with more than 3,000 business centers, making it the world's largest provider of flexible workplace solutions. Regus is also one of the sponsors of Fair Spend and Mars One , a private Dutch space flight project. It also maintains numerous partnerships in various industries (e.g. Sixt, Miles and More from Lufthansa or American Express) in order to make flexible work possible at any time and anywhere.
