Reimer Boy Eilers ( publications also under: Reimer Eilers; born December 15, 1948 in Wedel ) is a German writer and publicist.

Live and act

Reimer Boy Eilers was an exchange student in the USA in 1967 and graduated from the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Rendsburg in 1968 . He studied economics , political science and sociology in Hamburg and graduated with a diploma as an economist and in 1979 with a doctorate in economics and social sciences.

In 1984 he published his first novel All the confused men in a small publisher . Since then he has worked as a freelance author and is the author of novels , poetry , crime novels, short stories, essays , travel pictures and travel novels (Travelogues). Occasionally he also writes poems and short prose in Helgoland Frisian ( Halunder ).

From 1986 until the group was dissolved in 1995 he was a member of the PENG group of authors . In 1996 he organized the first poetry slam in Hamburg. He is a member of the Hamburg authors' association , the syndicate , the association of German writers (VS) - since 1992 as chairman of VS Hamburg, from 2002 to 2009 also on the VS federal board. Since 2005 he has also been a member of the jury of the Walter Kempowski Literature Prize for Short Prose and since 2016 a member of the PEN Center Germany .

Reimer Boy Eilers lives in Hamburg.
