Reiner Rohlje

Reiner Rohlje (born April 11, 1960 ) is a German entrepreneur and was deputy chairman of the Alliance for Progress and Awakening (ALFA), now a liberal-conservative reformer .

Life

Reiner Rohlje is the son of the entrepreneur and ex- and honorary president of the Bundesverband Metall (BVM) Wilfried Fritz Johan Rohlje (born March 17, 1933). Reiner Rohlje attended Lennestadt high school from 1969 to 1975 , which he left after completing secondary school to do an apprenticeship as a toolmaker in his father's company. In 1985 he became a master tool maker and partner in the medium-sized family company , a GmbH founded by his father in Kirchhundem in 1971 .

In the 2000s, Reiner Rohlje took over the management of the multi-award-winning toolmaker WIRO Präzisions-Werkzeugbau GmbH & Co. KG in Olpe - Saßmicke , which won the " Excellence in Production " competition in several categories in 2006 and 2008, and was in charge of the WZL machine tool laboratory the RWTH Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology . The company now has more than 45 employees and generates more than 10 million euros in sales per year. (Status 2015) WIRO operates internationally; around 90% of the orders come from abroad, more than 80% from the non-European part. Under Rohlje's leadership, a subsidiary was established in Thuringia and, in 2003, a company investment in India .

For over a decade Rohlje belonged to the tariff commission for the metal and electrical industry in North Rhine-Westphalia.

He is married and has five children. He lives in Olpe in the Sauerland .

politics

Rohlje was a passive member of the CDU for many years . In 2013 he joined the AfD . There he was deputy chairman or chairman of the Olpe district association. In the 2013 federal election , the AfD won 6 percent of the vote in his constituency. In August 2013 Rohlje was elected as an assessor, in October 2014 in a run-off election as deputy chairman of the state board of the AfD North Rhine-Westphalia. In May 2015, he resigned from office due to internal party quarrels about the state spokesman Marcus Pretzell . Previously, in January 2015, he was a co-founder of the AfD's SME Forum . Severin Weiland described the medium-sized entrepreneur and founder of this forum in May 2015 in Spiegel online as the party's “figurehead”.

In the month-long power struggle between Frauke Petry and Bernd Lucke for the party chairmanship of the AfD, which came to a head in 2015 , Rohlje sided with Lucke. He was involved in the founding of the 2015 Weckruf association of the more “liberal-conservative” or economically liberal AfD wing. After the federal party conference in Essen , at which he originally wanted to run for the federal executive committee at Luckes request, he resigned from the AfD and a little later co-founded the ALFA party in Kassel, of which he was elected as deputy chairman.

Table tennis

Rohlje is a passionate table tennis player and currently plays at TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt . At the German senior team championships (men 50) in table tennis, he took first place in a team with Sandor Jankovic (formerly at Borussia Düsseldorf ), Manfred Nieswand and Andreas Grothe in 2014.
