Reinhard Dietel

Reinhard Richard Dietel (born September 16, 1876 in Frankenberg / Sa .; † January 11, 1959 ibid) was a German politician ( FVp / DDP ) and first vice-president of the Saxon People's Chamber .

Life

Dietel attended elementary school in Niederlichtenberg and Niederbobritzsch as well as the Freiherrlich Fletcher school teacher seminar in Dresden . From 1900 to 1903 he studied education, philosophy, German and religious studies at the University of Leipzig . After receiving his doctorate in 1904, he worked as a teacher in Wahren , Zschopau , Annaberg and Zwickau .

In 1921 Dietel became senior director of studies at the teachers' seminar in Frankenberg / Sa. After he had hoisted the green and white Saxony banner instead of the swastika flag after the Nazis came to power, he was transferred to Grimma in October 1933 and later forcibly retired. 1945 Dietel became head of the secondary school in Frankenberg / Sa. instructed. In 1948 he finally retired.

politics

From 1909 to 1918 Dietel was a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament for the Progressive People's Party and Vice President of the Chamber. He was also chairman of the Free People's Party in the 21st Reichstag constituency and from 1918 chairman of the district association of the DDP in the 3rd Saxon constituency. In 1919/20 Dietel was the first Vice President of the Saxon People's Chamber. From 1919 to 1933 he was chairman of the Zwickau district association of the German Democratic Party (DDP).

After 1945 he became involved in the LDPD and was its local chairman in Frankenberg / Sa. and second chairman of the Flöha / Hainichen district association .

A small personal estate is in the archive of liberalism of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Gummersbach .
