Reinhard Pozorny (born February 16, 1908 in Brno , Moravia ; † June 25, 1993 ) was a Sudeten German author , National Socialist propaganda functionary and, in the post-war period, a full-time employee of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft as well as a member of various right-wing extremist organizations such as the Society for Free Journalism ( Deputy Chairman since 1979), the German Cultural Association of the European Spirit (Deputy President since 1974) and the Witikobund .

Life

Pozorny was a hiking teacher for the German Cultural Association in the Iglauer Sprachinsel. He then became the managing director and head of the department of the cultural association in Prague and Opava . In 1935 he joined the Sudeten German Party (SdP) and in 1939 the NSDAP (membership no. 6.640.621). He was a shop steward of the SD , from 1938 to 1940 a member of the NSDAP district leadership in Jägerndorf and Gauredner for nationality issues and ideological training, and 1940 to 1941 Gauleiter of the NSV in Reichenberg . In Pilsen he became a district propaganda leader (press and cultural department) and published a book about the city and its history. According to Kurt Nelhiebel , Pozorny was an employee of the Gestapo .

After the Second World War Pozorny left Czechoslovakia. The former “chief ideologist” of the SdP and the NSDAP in the Reichsgau Sudetenland was henceforth active in the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft. Pozorny became an employee in the main department “Culture and Folk Care” in the Federal Association of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft. He became one of the first employees of the Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and wrote, among other things, for the nationalist National-Zeitung . From 1950 he published other books, always on the subject of the " German East " and the Sudetenland. He appeared as a speaker and lecturer at events in adult education centers, with the country teams and home associations. In the 1969 federal election he ran for the NPD , of which he was also a member. He also published books in the DSZ-Verlag of the right-wing extremist publisher Gerhard Frey . In 1977 he was awarded the poet's stone shield from the Dichterstein Offenhausen association, which was banned in 1999 due to being re- employed by the National Socialists .

Pozorny also worked as an employee at Bayerischer Rundfunk .
