Reinhold Fleschhut

Reinhold Fleschhut (born November 11, 1908 in Illertissen , Kingdom of Bavaria , † after 1978) was a German politician ( SED ). He was President of the Chamber for Foreign Trade of the GDR .

Life

Fleschhut, son of a worker, attended elementary school and business school . After a commercial apprenticeship, he worked as a technical businessman in Augsburg and Hof . He was the managing director of textile factories in Plauen . In 1937 he joined the NSDAP .

During the Second World War he did military service in the Wehrmacht from 1940 , most recently as a rifleman in Infantry Regiment 276. He deserted to the Red Army in 1941 , attended the Antifa school near Gorky in 1942 and attended a course near Moscow . He was a participant in the Front School of the Red Army. In 1943 he became a member of the National Committee "Free Germany" (NKFD). The NKFD delegated him to the Ukrainian Front as an authorized representative . In 1944 he was wounded.

After his return to Germany in 1945, Fleschhut joined the KPD and became a member of the SED in 1946. 1945/46 he was city councilor in Meißen , from 1947 to 1949 district administrator in Meißen. Fleschhut worked as head of the Labor and Social Welfare Department in the Ministry for Industry, Labor and Development and for Economy and Labor in the state government of Saxony .

From 1952 to 1955 he acted as deputy chairman of the council of the Leipzig district . At the same time he was a member of the Leipzig District Assembly . Between 1955 and 1957 he held the office of Deputy Mayor of the City of Leipzig . From September 1, 1957 to September 1958, he was President of the Chamber for Foreign Trade of the GDR. From 1959 to 1963 he was director of the foreign trade company Deutsche Rauchwarenexport und -import GmbH in Leipzig. He then worked as a research assistant for the Association of Publicly Owned Enterprises (VVB) TAKRAF opencast mining equipment in Leipzig. In 1978 he became chairman of the district committee of the anti-fascist resistance fighters in Leipzig-Land . Fleschhut last lived as a veteran in Markkleeberg .
