Reinhold Wittig (* 1937 in Göttingen ) is a German artist and game designer as well as a planetary geologist .

Reinhold Wittig is a full-time geologist who worked at the Geological Institute of the Georg-August University in Göttingen until his retirement .

Wittig is also head of the games publisher Edition Perlhuhn, which he founded in 1976 . A few years ago, an African branch of the publishing house called Namibian Games was founded together with the small family handicraft business Driehoek in northern Namibia . Bushmen are employed in the production and are also involved in the adapted "African" concept. So z. Originally together with his then wife Karin (née Mieth), he organized the annual Göttingen game designers' meeting from 1983 to 2016 . On September 26, 1976, the small game publisher Edition Perlhuhn was founded by Wittig. Over 100 games have now been published there, several of which have been awarded by the Game of the Year jury .
