Max J. Kobbert

Max Jürgen Kobbert (born May 28, 1944 in Königsberg ) is a German university professor of perceptual psychology and game designer .

Live and act

In 1963 Kobbert began studying psychology at the University of Münster , which he graduated in 1969 with a degree in psychology. In 1976 he received the degree of Doctor of Psychology and taught from 1978 until his retirement in 2009 as a professor for art didactics and psychology at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf (Münster department, since 1987 Art Academy in Münster ). He also taught perceptual psychology at the Münster University of Applied Sciences until 2009 .

He invented his first game Colomino in 1971. It was published in 1973 by Erwin Glonnegger at Ravensburger . In 1986 he achieved his greatest success as a game designer with the game The Crazy Labyrinth . In the course of this game followed by numerous other variants and offshoots, including the 1991 with the special award for "Beautiful Game" and the German game prize excellent Labyrinth of the Master . In 1997 he published the game Think: Memo Crime in the Think series , the offshoot of which Think: Denk-Krimi was awarded a MinD game tip in 2010 .

Kobbert has been married since 1971 and has two children. He deals with amber and collects antique game material. Some of his pieces are several thousand years old.
