The crazy labyrinth is a mixture of board and placement game for four players, which requires spatial thinking and concentration to master. It was first published by Ravensburger in 1986 . It was invented and developed by the perceptual psychologist and game designer Max Kobbert . According to Ravensburger, the game had been translated into 60 languages by 2011 and sold over 13 million times.

content

In addition to the square game board, on which there are already 16 fixed square maze parts, there are 34 loose tiles, the moving parts of the maze (33 on the game board and one to slide). Four playing figures , 24 search cards and instructions complete the box. On the board there are corridors, walls, treasures and small monsters , which you can reach with the playing figure - depending on the card. A total of seven by seven labyrinth parts are shown on the plan.

Rules and goal

The aim of the game is to be the first to reach a certain number of treasures , depending on the variant played . To do this, the 24 search cards are distributed evenly and face down among the players. Each player takes turns trying to reach the object on the game board shown on his top card. But first he has to move a row of the maze, then he can move his pawn. Whose figure on one side pushed out will start as if he had wandered down on the opposite side of the field.

In addition to collecting your own treasures, you also try to prevent your opponent from doing this on your part. Exact planning is very difficult due to the shifting actions of the other players. A proposed variant of the game is to make the search easier by allowing you to choose any of your treasures . If adults play with children, the rules can be mixed up so that the children can choose any card, while the adults have to keep the order.
