Reipisch is a district of the village of Frankleben in the town of Braunsbedra in the Saale district (Saxony-Anhalt).

Reipisch is located in the Geiseltal between Geiseltalsee in the west, Runstedter See in the south and A38 in the east.

history

Reipisch in the valley of the Geisel is a Slavic settlement from the 7th century. The first name "Ripsio" is derived from the Slavic word for "beet field". Until 1815, Reipisch belonged to the Merseburg high school in Merseburg , which had been under Electoral Saxon sovereignty since 1561 and was part of the secondary school principality of Saxony-Merseburg between 1656/57 and 1738 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place came in 1815 to Prussia and in 1816 the county Merseburg in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony allocated.

On July 1, 1950, Reipisch was incorporated into Frankleben, with which it came to Braunsbedra on January 1, 2004.

traffic

In the neighboring town of Frankleben there is a train station on the Merseburg – Querfurt railway line , which is served hourly by regional trains. The A38 is to the east of the village . The next exit "Merseburg-Süd" is southeast of Reipisch.
