Susanne Marik

Susanne Marik (born April 24, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian singer , entertainer and actress .

Life

At the age of six, Marik began her artistic career in the children's ballet of the Vienna Volksoper and in the children's choir of the Vienna Conservatory . After primary school she attended the Musikgymnasium in Vienna and at the age of twelve played the role of Flora in Benjamin Britten's opera “ The Turn of the Screw ” at the Vienna Chamber Opera .

After graduating from high school , she began her training in singing, dance and acting at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, which she graduated with a diploma.

She received her first engagements at the Graz Opera House , where she appeared as a soloist in the musicals Anatevka , Cabaret , Chicago and Sorbas . Subsequently, Susanne Marik lived and worked for about 14 years in Germany and Switzerland, where she worked as a musical performer at various theaters. For example, she appeared in " Grease " at the Alte Oper Frankfurt , in the Capitol Theater Düsseldorf and in the Musical Theater Zurich , in " Sunset Boulevard " at the Rhein-Main Theater Wiesbaden or in " Mack and Mabel " at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe . In collaboration with Herbert Prikopa she hosted Johann Strauss - and Giuseppe Verdi - Galas , among others in the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg , the Schauspielhaus Berlin and in the Gewandhaus in Leipzig .

On his return to Vienna, she played the female lead (Anna Leonowens) in " The King and I " in the Wiener Stadthalle and the Ronacher and was founded in 2008 in the production of " Phaedra " by Hans Werner Henze as part of the Vienna Festival as acting Double Phaedra committed to the Theater an der Wien .

As the singer of the Axel Rot orchestra , she has been singing at various balls in Vienna since 2009 , including in the great hall of the Vienna Opera Ball .

Marik found her actual calling as an entertainer in collaboration with Béla Fischer , with whom she has been married since August 2015. Together they develop their own solo programs with which they have so far performed at various cabaret stages in Vienna and Bad Ischl , as well as on cruise ships from Sydney to Singapore .
