Bishop Remídio José Bohn

Remídio José Bohn (born May 21, 1950 in Feliz , Rio Grande do Sul ; † January 6, 2018 in Gravataí ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Cachoeira do Sul .

Life

Remídio José Bohn studied philosophy at the Major Seminary of Our Lady in Viamão and theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. He received on 29 November 1975 by the Archbishop of Porto Alegre , Alfredo Vicente Cardinal Scherer , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 18, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Uchi Maius and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Porto Alegre. The Archbishop of Porto Alegre, Dadeus Grings , donated him episcopal ordination on March 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Santa Cruz do Sul , Aloísio Sinésio Bohn , and the Bishop of Dourados , Redovino Rizzardo CS .

On December 28, 2011 Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Bishop of Cachoeira do Sul. The inauguration took place on February 26, 2012.

Bishop Bohn was a descendant of immigrants from Monzelfeld , today the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate.
