Jacques Pills
Jacques Pills (aka René Ducos ; born January 7, 1906 in Tulle ; † September 12, 1970 ) was a French actor and singer .
During the 1930s, Pills formed the duo Pills et Tabet alongside Georges Tabet . Among other things, they had success with the titles Couchés dans le foin , Aux îles Hawaï , Un cabanon près de Toulon and On n'a pas besoin de la lune . In 1939 the duo separated and Ducos continued to sing as a soloist.
In 1939 Pills married the singer Lucienne Boyer . Their child is Eliane Ducos, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for France under the stage name Jacqueline Boyer in 1960 . In 1952 he married the French singer Édith Piaf , from whom he was divorced in 1956.
In 1959 he represented Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest with Mon ami Pierrot . Unlike his daughter, his chanson could only come last.
