René Erik Hedegaard Villadsen (born April 18, 1986 in Ølgod ) is a Danish handball player . So far he has played two international matches for the Danish national team .

Career

René Villadsen played in Denmark for Frederikshavn fI , Skjern Håndbold , Mors-Thy Håndbold and from 2011 for Sønderjysk Elitesport . With Skjern he took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2005/06 . From the 2013/14 season, the 2.01 meter tall handball goalkeeper was under contract with the German club ThSV Eisenach , with whom he was relegated from the first to the second Bundesliga in 2014 . From the 2015/16 season he guarded the goal of MT Melsungen . In the 2017/18 season he was under contract with the Danish club Aarhus Håndbold . He then joined the German first division club SC DHfK Leipzig until the end of the season , which was looking for another goalkeeper due to the failure of Jens Vortmann . Villadsen returned to Aarhus in summer 2019. He has been under contract with Ribe-Esbjerg HH since the 2020/21 season .
