Bosco Luganese is part of the Ticino community Bioggio in county Agno the district Lugano .

geography

Bosco Luganese lies at 529  m above sea level. M. on a slope below the Alpe Agra between the plain of the Vedeggio in the east and the ravine of the Riale Roncaccio in the west. The village is around four kilometers west-northwest of Lugano , around one kilometer north of Bioggio and one kilometer east-northeast of Cademario . With the exception of the access road, the settlement area is completely surrounded by forests.

history

Originally belonging to the parish and parish of Cademario, the village was elevated to a parish in 1783 and a parish in 1807. A chaplain pledge was donated there in 1658.

Community merger

Bosco Luganese merged with the municipality of Bioggio on April 4, 2004.

The village is accessed by a side road that leads to Cademario and Bioggio. In Biggio this meets the main road 394 , which leads to Manno , where the connection to the A2 is located. The Lugano-Agno airport is in the immediate vicinity.
