The village is 470 m above sea level. M. on the Muzzano TI - Vezia road , in the middle of vineyards; 2.4 km north of Lugano .

The village was first mentioned in 1022 under the then name Biogno .

In 1902 Biogno had 280 inhabitants

Community merger

It was dissolved by decree of June 24, 1924 and divided between the municipalities of Bioggio and Breganzona .
