Renate Federhofer-Königs

Renate Federhofer-Königs , b. Königs (born January 4, 1930 ; † May 26, 2015 ) was a German-Austrian musicologist who made great contributions to researching the biography of Robert Schumann .

Life

Renate Königs received her doctorate in Cologne in 1957 with a thesis on Johannes Oridryus . She lived in Mainz and was married to the musicologist Hellmut Federhofer , who died in 2014 . Her daughter is the literary scholar Marie-Theres Federhofer , who has been a professor at Tromsø University in Norway since 2008 .
