Renosterberg ( English Renosterberg Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Pixley Ka Seme district of the South African province of Northern Cape . The seat of the municipal administration is in Petrusville . Mayor is Johannes Olifant.

Renosterberg comes from Afrikaans which means "rhinoceros mountain", the name of an elevation located here.

In 2011 the community had 10,987 inhabitants. Of these, 57.4% were colored , 32.9% black and 8.6% white. 71% Afrikaans, 23.9% IsiXhosa and 1.5% English were spoken.
