Thembelihle ( English Thembelihle Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Pixley Ka Seme district of the North Cape province of South Africa . The local government office is in Hopetown . Mayoress is Brenda Mpampa.

The community name is an isiXhosa term for "(good) hope".

In 2011 the community had 15,701 inhabitants. Of these, 70.8% were colored , 15.2% black and 13.1% white. 88.8% of the speakers were Afrikaans, 5% IsiXhosa, 1.3% English and 1.2% Setswana .
