Ralph "Rep" Porter (born April 6, 1971 ) is a professional American poker player . He is three-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Life

Porter graduated from the University of Washington . Before starting his poker career, he worked in finance as a stock trader. Porter is married and has two daughters. The family lives in Woodinville , Washington State .

Career

Porter has been participating in prestigious live tournaments since 2003 .

After two money finishes at the World Poker Tour in autumn 2004 Porter was in June 2005 for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and finished at a tournament in Limit Hold'em the 15th place for 12,000 US dollars . He reached a final table at the 2006 WSOP and ended up in the money three times. In July 2007 Porter was successful for the first time at the WSOP main event and finished the tournament in 39th place for his highest prize money to date of just under 250,000 US dollars. A year later he won a tournament in No Limit Hold'em for which he received his first bracelet and a prize of more than 370,000 US dollars. At the championship event of the Merit Cyprus Classic as part of the World Poker Tour in Cyprus , Porter finished fourth in mid-September 2009 and won around 120,000 US dollars. He secured his second bracelet in late June 2011 when he won a tournament in Seven Card Razz for over $ 200,000. When the WSOP main event in 2013 took Porter, which earned him his twelfth place highest ever prize money of around 575,000 US dollars. At the 2015 World Series of Poker , he narrowly missed winning his third bracelet and finished the Dealers Choice Championship in second place. In June 2016 he secured his third bracelet with another win in the Seven Card Razz variant . At the 2018 WSOP , Porter finished second in the Pot Limit Omaha Championship behind Loren Klein for just under $ 630,000 in prize money.

In total, Porter has earned just under four million US dollars with poker in live tournaments.
