The UN Security Council Resolution 2334 was on 23. December 2016 at the 7853rd meeting of the UN Security Council adopted by 14 votes to none against, with one abstention ( United States ). The Security Council reiterates that Israel's settlements have no legal validity and are a flagrant violation of international law .

First, the validity of the previous resolutions 242 (1967) , 338 (1973) , 446 (1979) , 452 (1979) , 465 (1980) , 476 (1980) , 478 (1980) , 1397 (2002) , 1515 (2003 ) and 1850 (2008) on this subject. Resolution 1515 (2003) with which it is highlighted timetable of the Quartet , which Israel is obligated to all settlement activity, including "natural growth" to freeze and dismantle all outposts erected 2,001 since March. Once again, Israel is required to immediately cease all settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem .

It is stated that only such changes to the lines of June 4, 1967 , including those relating to Jerusalem , will be recognized in the future that the parties negotiate.

All states are requested to distinguish in their relevant relationships between the territory of the State of Israel and the territories occupied since 1967.

Immediate measures are called for to prevent all acts of violence and to combat terrorism, as well as a clear condemnation of all acts of terrorism.

Increased efforts are called for to realize the vision of a region in which two democratic states, Israel and Palestine , live side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders.
