The Resterhöhe is a 1,894 m high mountain in the Pinzgauer Grasberge , in the Kitzbühel Alps above Mittersill (west of the Thurns Pass ) in Oberpinzgau .
Climbing aids
The Resterhöhe is accessible from the Salzach Valley by the Kitzbüheler Alpen panorama cable car (cable car from Hollersbach valley station), as well as the Resterhöhe 6-seater chairlift of the Kitzbüheler Bergbahnen (valley station: Pass Thurn ).
Winter sports
In the Resterhöhe area there are many slopes that are connected to the Kitzbüheler Bergbahnen ski area , and some drag lifts.
Hikes & mountain tours
Various hiking trails lead to the Resterhöhe or cross here. The mountain stations of the two cable cars are particularly popular as a starting point for hikes on the two-thousand- meter peak ( 2004 m ) and tours on the Kleiner Rettenstein ( 2216 m ) and the Großer Rettenstein ( 2366 m ).

The Resterhöhe belongs to the Salzburg Slate Alps and the Pinzgau Grass Mountains in a sub-group of the Kitzbühel Alps .

It is located in Oberpinzgau , north of the Salzach valley above the national park community of Hollersbach in the community of the national park town of Mittersill .
