The Rheintal Duathlon was a duathlon event held from 2007 to 2018 in Marbach in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley in Switzerland .

The Rheintal Duathlon has been held on the last weekend in April since 2007. In 2007 this duathlon was carried out as a replacement for the Rheintaler Triathlon Rhyathlon , which was not held .

The Rheintal Duathlon has been part of the Swiss Triathlon Duathlon Cup since it was held for the second time in 2008 . For the first time in 2009 this was included in the cup scoring as a national event. This sporting event is also known as the Vorarlberg state championship in duathlon. Ramon Hüppi is the President of the Rheintal Duathlon.

In the women's race, the Dutch duathlete and triathlete Yvonne van Vlerken, who lives in Austria , won the race in April 2015 - and has already won six times here. The multiple Swiss triathlon champion and fourth at the 2008 World Cup, Ronnie Schildknecht , won here for the fifth time in 2015.

This race took place for the tenth time on April 24, 2016, and after 2011 and 2013 the Swiss Duathlon Championships were held here again.

A new participant record was achieved in 2017 with 344 classified. After the twelfth event in April 2018 with almost 350 participants, it was announced that the event would no longer be held and the end of this event was confirmed in November.

In this all-around sport, the main distance was as follows: first run 4 km, bike distance 17.5 km and second run 4 km
