Stefan Riesen (born August 11, 1973 in Bern ) is a former Swiss duathlete , triathlete and multiple Ironman winner (2004, 2006). He is included in the list of Swiss triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

The trained bricklayer lives in Rüschegg . He started his first triathlon in 2000 and, like Natascha Badmann, was trained by Toni Hasler.

In 2004 he won the Ironman France and with the Ironman Switzerland he won his second Ironman race in 2006.

In 2007 he finished 16th at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships) as the third-best German-speaking and best Swiss athlete. In October 2012 he declared his active time over with the start of the Ironman Florida on November 3rd.
