Ric Waite

Ric Waite (born July 10, 1933 in Sheboygan , Wisconsin , † February 18, 2012 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American cinematographer .

Life

Richard Waite first studied architecture and then worked as a fashion photographer. He realized his first cinematic works with commercials for television, for which he also photographed feature films. Since the mid-1970s, Waite has also been the chief cameraman in motion pictures. Action films are just as much a part of his work as comedies or music films such as Footloose .

In 1977 Waite was awarded an Emmy for his camerawork on the miniseries The Prize of Power .
