Riccardo Garrone (born January 1, 1926 in Rome , † March 14, 2016 in Milan ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Garrone, brother of director Sergio Garrone , began his career in 1949 when he attended the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico . His slim, elegant appearance was very suitable for the numerous roles he embodied as a distinguished man, whereby his sense of humor also made comedic parts possible. Well-known films in his early years are La ragazza con la valigia and La rimpatriata . Also active as a theater actor, he played mainly in commercially oriented B-films from the 1960s to 1970s , and almost 170 roles by 2010, including several television works for individual films , mini-series and sitcoms that began in 1964 . From the 1980s he increased his stage engagement again and worked with Vittorio Gassman , Dino Verde and Elena Zareschi .

With his melodious, deep voice, Garrone also acted as a voice actor . He was also the director of two films. A pseudonym of Garrone was Dick Regan . Occasional television work and commercials round off his overall work.
