content

Norman Sandel searches for his father's treasure, which the latter had gathered up during the civil war, and for revenge for his death by two people belonging to the bandit leader Ramon. He is also looking for the ex-officer of the southern states, Cook, who is said to be involved in the murder. When he arrives in the town of Danger City, he discovers that only women live there - the Mexican Ramon and his bandit group are also after the money that Cook hid there at the end of the war. They killed all the men in the village and only let women and children live who were supposed to hand over the money they had hoped for; otherwise they face a merciless attack, a "degueyo". Norman and two companions, Logan and Sonner, as well as a merchant, take the side of the women and defend the place while they search for the treasure themselves.

Norman is led to his hiding place by Rosy, Ramon's wife, repulsed by the constant violence. Meanwhile, the released Colonel Cook carries out a new attack, which is supposed to finally eliminate all those who knew about it; however, the money has disappeared. A desperate defense struggle between the persevering and the women begins, from which only Norman and Ramon emerge as survivors. In the final fight, Norman can avenge his father.

criticism

"A really good B-Western that you can watch from start to finish without getting angry."

- Christian Keßler : Welcome to Hell, 2002, p. 70.

“The narrative structure of the film follows the standard that has become common now: violent sequences alternate with parts of dramatic intensity. A good soundtrack and beautiful photography are among the pluses. "

- Segnalazioni cinematografiche

"Technically primitive, very brutal spaghetti westerns."

"First and best genre contribution by Giuseppe Vari."

- Ulrich P. Bruckner : Corpses pave their way, 2005, p. 92.

“Western of the Italian style, which is characterized by boredom and excessive brutality. To be rejected. "
