Giuseppe Addobbati

Giuseppe Addobbati (born December 31, 1909 in Makarska , Austria-Hungary , † January 4, 1986 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Addobbati, who grew up in Trieste , began as a theater actor, made his debut with a supporting role in 13 uomini e 1 cannone in 1936 and played roles from the second or third series until 1943 and then again from 1952 in over 80 films, in which the distinguished-looking, slight Actors landowners, honorable citizens, sheriffs and doctors gave his face. He was seen particularly often in the 1960s, in spaghetti westerns and horror films . He was most likely to escape the subordinate character roles in genre cinema in Bernado Bertolucci's The Great Mistake , in which he played the father of the protagonist Jean-Louis Trintignant . One of his frequent pseudonyms was "John MacDouglas".
