Richard Herzinger

Richard Herzinger (born November 28, 1955 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German literary scholar , journalist and publicist .

Career

Herzinger attended high school in Königstein / Taunus , studied German at the Free University of Berlin and did his doctorate there with a thesis on Heiner Müller .

He is currently the political editor of Welt am Sonntag and also writes for Die Welt . In 2003/2004 he was editor and author for Die Zeit and most recently Germany correspondent for Zürcher Weltwoche . He also wrote articles for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , the Tagesspiegel , the Merkur , the Jüdische Allgemeine and the Jungle World .

Since April 1, 2011 Richard Herzinger has been running a weblog on the website of the world called Freie Welt .
