action

Richie Aprile, Jackie Aprile's older brother, is released on parole after serving a ten-year sentence. Already on the first day he meets with old companions and announces his claim to want to play an important role in the New Jersey mafia again. The first one he visits is the pizzeria owner Peter "Beansie" Gaeta, who used to be an accomplice of Richie's. Richie threatens Beansie in his restaurant and hits him in the head with a coffee pot. Tony Soprano learns from West Orange , New Jersey City Police that Meadow Soprano was having a party at Livia Soprano's home. There was extensive drug use there. The corrupt cop owes Tony a favor and forges the police report. Meadow and Hunter Scangarelo are interviewed by Tony. When Carmela also wants to question her, she flees to her room. Tony and Carmela consider a punishment, with Tony being the more lenient of the two.

Janice Soprano interferes with the upbringing issue, which enrags Carmela and Tony. They yell at Janice to take care of her own problems. When she is seriously offended, Carmela tries to smooth things over a little. Jennifer Melfi sees Tony in a restaurant and is unsure how to react. She greets him casually and is surprised at herself.

She herself visits a therapist, Dr. Elliot Kupferberg, and asks him what her behavior meant. She asks him if she should continue treating Tony and Tony doesn't answer the question directly. Melfi later dreams of Tony. When Tony meets Richie in front of Satriale's, he kindly informs him that he never speaks directly about business, but that Silvio is responsible for what Richie sees as an affront. Richie also tells Christopher that if he hits Adriana, his niece, again, he will have a problem with him. Should he marry her, it is no longer his problem. Christopher takes this warning without grumbling. Tony throws a welcome party for Richie at Bada Bing that evening. A lot of gangsters appear and give Richie envelopes with money. Beansie Gaeta is missing. Richie receives the service of two whores as a gift from Silvio Dante. He listlessly accepts this gift. After the party, Richie Beansie lies in wait and deliberately runs over him in his car. Beansie becomes paraplegic and Tony visits him in the hospital. Tony later blames Richie seriously and warns him not to question his authority again.

Richie meets Janice doing yoga and they both talk about old times. Richie visits Livie and brings her a bouquet of flowers. Tony is surprised to see Meadow volunteering to clean the house.
