Rieweis is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Echsenbach municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 29 building areas with 14,039 m² and 14 gardens on 8,079 m² in the cadastral community of Rieweis , in 1989/1990 there were 36 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 81 and in 2009/2010 there were 43 buildings on 82 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 190 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 20 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 188 hectares and 21 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 186 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 22 hectares. The average soil climate of Rieweis is 27.8 (as of 2010).
