It was the first four-wheeled automobile that Riley brought out in 1907.
The car had a V2 engine with 1034 cm³ displacement, side valves and water cooling. The machine developed 9 bhp (6.6 kW). The chassis had a wheelbase of 2032 mm, the body was 2997 mm long and 1524 mm wide. The chassis weighed 457 kg. As a special feature, the car had removable wire-spoke wheels, which made changing tires much easier compared to other contemporary cars.
The small V2 model was offered until 1911. The Riley 10 with a four-cylinder engine can be regarded as the successor .
