The Riley 14-6 was a Riley passenger car .

description

It was a mid-range vehicle that Riley developed from the smaller Riley 9 in 1929 .

The Riley 14-6 had a six-cylinder OHV in-line engine with the same cylinder dimensions as the smaller model and thus 1633 cc. It already reached 50 bhp (37 kW) and accelerated the sedan up to 109 km / h. All four wheels are suspended from semi-elliptical springs.

In 1930 the Riley Stelvio (Passo dello Stelvio (Italian) = Stilfser Joch ) appeared with the same engine and a slightly longer wheelbase. It reaches 107 km / h. Four years later, the sedan received a larger engine with 1726 cc and an output of 51 hp (37.5 kW), shortly before the model was discontinued.

In 1931 the Riley Alpine appeared with the same chassis and engine as the 14-6. He was hired again after just two years.

The successor was the Riley 12/6 with a slightly smaller engine.
