Roa is a village in the Norwegian municipality of Lunner , Province ( Fylke ) Viken . The place is the administrative center of Lunner and is about 55 km north of Oslo . At the end of 2019 there were 967 inhabitants in Roa.
history
Until the end of 2019 the municipality of Lunner belonged to the province of Oppland . This was dissolved in the course of the nationwide regional reform and went into the newly created province of Innlandet . However, Lunner was not transferred to Innlandet, but incorporated into the newly founded province of Viken , so that Roa has been in Viken since January 1, 2020.

Roa is at the intersection of European route 16 with Riksvei 4. Until 1985, Roa station was an important railway junction, as it was on the route of the Bergensbanen from Hønefoss to Bergen . The station is further from the Gjøvikbanen that from Oslo to Gjøvik , approached wrong.
