Robert Arrhenius (born May 14, 1979 in Kirketorp ) is a former Swedish handball player and coach . His body length is 1.95 m.
Arrhenius, who last played for the Swedish club IFK Skövde HK and ran for the Swedish national team, was mainly used as a circular runner.
Robert Arrhenius made his debut for IFK Skövde HK in the Elitserien , the first Swedish league. In October 2000 he was signed by the Spanish club CB Cantabria Santander . From there Arrhenius moved in 2003 to HSG Nordhorn in the German handball league . With this team he moved into the semi-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2006 , where his team, however, failed at the eventual winner Medvedi Chekhov . He then went back to Spain to CAI BM Aragón . There he moved into the final of the EHF Cup in 2007 , but failed because of the German SC Magdeburg Gladiators . In December 2010 he played for four weeks at the German Bundesliga club THW Kiel and then returned to Aragon. After the 2010/11 season Arrhenius signed a contract with the Danish first division club Bjerringbro-Silkeborg. In summer 2012, his contract was terminated prematurely for family reasons. Arrhenius then returned to his homeland, where he signed a contract with IFK Skövde HK. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, he also took on the role of coach at IFK Skövde HK with the junior coach Peter Johansson. In the summer of 2014 he left Skövde and ended his career. In May 2018 he made his comeback for the Spanish club Handbol Marratxí. He has been an assistant coach at the Egyptian club al Ahly SC since the 2019/20 season .
Robert Arrhenius made 192 appearances for the Swedish national team . At the men's handball world championship in 2003 he took 13th place with his country and 7th place at the 2004 European handball championship .
