Roberto Lago Soto (born August 30, 1985 in Vigo ) is a Spanish football player .

Player career

Roberto Lago, originally from Vigo, has played for his hometown club Celta de Vigo since childhood . First he made the jump to the second team in 2004 and finally in 2007 even to the first team. His competitive debut for the Galician was on August 26, 2007 in the league game of the Segunda División against newly promoted Cordoba.

Roberto Lago received a regular place at Celta in his first season . After midfield placements in the following three years, he managed to return to the Primera División as runner-up in the 2011/12 season with his club .
