Robesonia is a borough in Berks County in Pennsylvania , United States . At the time of the 2010 United States Census , Robesonia had a population of 2,061. The place was once known for its iron smelting furnaces , which existed from around 1794 to 1927. The town was founded in 1855 by Henry P. Robeson, who had bought the ironmaking operations here and founded the Robesonia Iron Company in 1845 .
The Robesonia Furnace Historic District has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1991 .

Robesonia is located in the west of Berks County and is surrounded by the Heidelberg Township . Robesonia's geographic coordinates are 40 ° 21 ′ N , 76 ° 8 ′ W (40.351539, −76.136538). US Highway 422 runs as Penn Avenue through the borough and heads east to Reading, 18 km away, and west to Lebanon, 15 km away .

At the United States Census 2010 Robesonia had 2061 inhabitants. The population density was 2322 inhabitants per square kilometer. The population was 92.22% White, 1.00% African American, 0% Natives, 1.12% Asians, and 0% Pacific Islanders. 0.14% said they belonged to two or more races and 1.16 said they belonged to other races. 4.42% of the population identified themselves as Hispanics or Latinos.
