Robin Beck (triathlete)

Robin Beck (* 1953 in Salt Lake City ) is a former American triathlete and Ironman Hawaii winner from 1980.

Career

On January 10, 1980, Robin Beck won the women's competition at the Ironman Hawaii or Nautilus Triathlon (named after the main sponsor, a fitness center in Honolulu) as twelfth of 94 finishers (with 108 starters ). In the third edition of this race she won 4:19:35 hours over the runner-up, her compatriot Eve Anderson . The two were the only women to start and Robin Beck undercut the previous best time by more than 90 minutes. The men's winner was Dave Scott .
