Robin Haring

Robin Haring (born April 30, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German epidemiologist and author .

Life

Robin Haring attended Otto-Nagel-Gymnasium in Berlin and studied demography at the University of Rostock (diploma 2006). At the University Medical Center Greifswald he received his doctorate with distinction in epidemiology on the subject of “Metabolic and Endocrine Determinants of Mortality” in 2010. As a scholarship holder of the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation , he did research at Boston University as a post-doc in the Framingham Heart Study in 2010/11 . In 2013 he completed his habilitation at the University Medical Center Greifswald on the subject of "Testosterone as a biomarker for men's health" and in 2014 was appointed to the EUFH as one of the youngest professors in Germany . Since 2016 he has been Adjunct Professor at Monash University in Melbourne. Robin Haring was Dean of the Applied Health Sciences Department from 2018 to 2020 and has been Vice President for Quality and Innovation at the EUFH since March 2020.

Through his popular science non-fiction books, Robin Haring is represented as a health expert in media such as Die Zeit , Süddeutsche Zeitung , Focus , Die Welt , DeutschlandRadio , ARTE , ZDF and NDR .
